She's thinking about every detail of the music - each bar is characterised well and this sonata (which I have heard so many times over the past 30 years) suddenly sounds new again. The strong sense of communication arises from her precision and refinement; she knows exactly what to focus on at any specific moment and she doesn't need to exaggerate to make interpretative points.
