second; when you say that phil jackson had his share of luck with players. i say, luck has nothing to do with it. luck is when you throw the ball in the basket from the far end of the court with your eyes shut. would michael had been such a great player without phil? of phil a great coach without michael. winners are drawn to each other. that's why they are winners.

first i like to say that i find the way the system is set up in the nba is really honest. as you say; best players to worst teams. accept from the celtic reign and maybe the bulls you can't really tell wich team will end high in about three years. for example in the netherlands where i'm from you see psv, ajax and feyenoord. for as long as i know (and longer) one of these three football teams wins the cup.

if you look at how the nba goes, the worst teams get the first picks in the draft so the best players go to the worst teams and turn the program around after a few years, if pj continues coaching, he'll probably go to lebron next, lebron turned the program around and almost won a title

well phil jackson and the architect were the ones who popularized the triangle offense/defense. It's what led to 6 chicago rings(the plays being applied to jordan) and the 3 lakers rings(the plays being applied to shaq). But i see what u mean cause unlike other coaches phil didn't work his way to the top, he hits jackpots and goldmines. But a ring is a ring, and he needs 1 more to top aurbach.even larry brown who is considered a brilliant coach gave up on new york, didn't he? :-)

i see your point, but kobe and shaq, pippin and jordan were the greatest players ever, few people would deny that, phil has to go to absolutely the best players to win, i bet you he'll try to go to lebron next, good coaches sometimes go to bad teams and turn the program around

abmmwl, well a coach can't win 3 straight rings without a good team can he?and jordan was ringless for 6 yrs b4 he was coached by phil. And why the f*ck would he want to be in a bad team,no coach wants that moron. The lakers are bad enough!but i believe they'll do good this year!im a kobe-laker fan :-D

He got a team of losers into the playoffs the year after they failed miserably.

phil jackson is not that great, why doesn't he go to a bad team and win 3 straight titles? he can't win shit unless he has the best players on his team
