When other recent superstars like Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson were surrounded with mediocre to poor, or at least perceived mediocre to poor supporting casts, they abandoned trust of their teammates in exchange for more personal shot attempts. When you see the team around LeBron, you ask yourself, how does this guy not take 40 shots per game. The truth of the matter is though, all players are in the NBA for a reason, they have talents, it's being able to put your teammate in a position to use his own individual talent, that's what makes a leader. If you ever wanted to know how a player of the past like Scottie Pippen or Magic Johnson(with a little more athleticism) would play today, just look at LeBron James. Kobe looks to be able to score or get off shots from any position. When he gets doubled you can tell he feels the need to prove that he can shoot over doubles. He misses too many of those shots. I have a felling that Kobe wasn't motivated by enough different players. Jordan was motivated by Connie Hawkins, Larry Nance, Dr J, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Oscar Robertson.
