| c4rv3r ::: Favorites 2008-01-11 07:01:34 Bodycarving is something you can do on Skis, Snowboards, Skwalls, even Telemark skis :), first of all. Loosing contact with one or both edges while doing bodycarving is what makes bodycarving bodycarving. The thrill of the sloppy executed recovery including the sliding you mention is just as an ecstasy. As long as you don't mind the sliding, of course - with wider skis/higher plates, however, even this can be easily eliminated:) __________________________________________________ | |

As you can see, everytime you try to touch the ground you loose contact with one or even both edges which ends in sliding and not carving. __________________________________________________ | |

| Sterydzik ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 11:19:24 I wouldnt compare "monkey" style (trying to touch the snow just next to you boot) to actually touchin it almost near the ski tops - and i personally think making the turn on high speed just feeling the edges cutting throuth the snow is what really makes it FUN - and of course big air jumps ahhhh :) __________________________________________________ | |
